The new mantra in gadgets these days is to go thin. The manufacturer claims that its device is thin and it attracts a lot of attention. I don’t blame them; I still can’t get over iPod Nano 2GBs slim profile. I refuse to believe that a music player can be so thin. Nokia is claiming that its latest offering, the E55, is the world’s thinnest phone ever. Now I cannot vouch for that since I’d have to compare it with a lot of other phones. HTC Droid Incredible 2 is the successor to the original HTC Droid Incredible and it did really well in the market. Things have changed since then; the competition has got more stiff and it will be interesting to see how this phone performs in sales. On the front, there is a gorgeous four inch display having a resolution of 480×800 pixels. The quality is much better than standard LCDs but you won’t be able to see it even in bright sunlight. Kyocera Brio is a budget phone and it is good to see some entry level handsets amidst the war of smartphones all over. HTC Arrive is a good smartphone featuring all basics are there is much more. The phone has Windows Phone 7 OS inside and I want to praise Microsoft for merging all the contact information from the different networking sites and e-mail accounts like Windows Live, Gmail, Exchange and Facebook. Just like other mobile platforms, the merges create duplicates but here it was much fewer as compared to previous phones from Windows. This doesn’t mean that HTC Arrive is a perfect phone. I would like to have more features in People hub like automatic sign-in for Facebook and Twitter integration.
