Facebook to make their own Android phone
We previously saw Facebook cell phones from Motorola, Huawei, HTC, and Vodafone. However, they are just Android phones having a discrete Facebook button and are integrated along with the social networking site. Facebook is now looking to change all of that. They are planning to come up with their own phone which will have social networking theme at the core. Camera games, applications, and contacts will be woven inside together so that everything works in tandem with the user’s Facebook account. Facebook has signed up with HTC for making such a phone. Nokia says Windows 8 tablet will be out by June
Nokia said that they will be adding Windows 8 tablet to their product line up by June 2012. Les Echos said that Paul Amsellem announced plans to launching the Windows 8 tablet by June 2012. This move does make some sense. iOS and Android covers both phones and tablets but this isn’t the case for Microsoft Windows Phone OS. Nokia can’t afford to ignore the tablet market and if it does make a tablet of their own, then it is very likely that Microsoft will be their partner. But still, Nokia will have to work hard to get some attention because Android and iOS tablets are doing really well. Nokia was asked to comment about it but they declined to do so. Poor sales of any product results in either full stop in the production of that particular product or sometimes only in a bit slashing in the price, and in case of BlackBerry PlayBook both these things have happened. BlackBerry PlayBook’s poor sales have made Quanta Computer to stop manufacturing so many of those tablets. Now if you think that’s a bad news for the RIM, then there’s even more to come. HP (Hewlett Packard (NYSE:HPQ)) has released an over-the-air WebOS revise for their HP TouchPad. This all new over-the-air update for the HP TouchPad is suppose to enhance the reliability and performance of the tablet. Nintendo kept giving the teasers for their red 3DS, which initially was the past of the line-up of the pre-launch, but then instantly was postponed for the blue and black versions. RIM (Research in Motion) once again is trying to dethrone iPhone, and this time they are doing it with their all new “all-touchscreen” BlackBerry Torch 9850/9860. The all new BlackBerry Torch 9850/9860 so far is the biggest BlackBerry handset and comes with a 3.7 in display. The new Torch 9850/9860 carries the legacy of Research in Motion’s keyboardless Storm phones, although the handset now comes with a refurbished BlackBerry 7 Operating System, which has a redesigned virtual keyboard.
